On his sophomore effort, Behind The Midway, guitarist and songwriter Jason Wilber manages to transcend the country, rock and folk genres without leaving them behind. Wilber weaves these traditions into a musical tapestry that is rich with haunting imagery, technical brilliance, and the soul of his musical roots. And those roots run deep and true; at age 13 Jason began his professional career when he joined a rockabilly band, taking his cues from Tom T. Hall and Johnny Cash. Since then he's played lead guitar for such notable artists as songwriting legend John Prine, country star Hal Ketchum, and Carrie Newcomer.
